Ingrid Michaelson: Sort Of Meaning
Sort Of Lyrics
Baby you've got the sort of hands to rip me apart
And baby you've got the sort of face to start this old heart
But your eyes are warning me this early morning
That my love's too big for you my love
Baby you've got the sort of laugh...

My view of this song is that, she is in a relationship and she imagines how it could be so good and she wishes it would be good but then she finds a reality and it’s not what she expected, she wanted it to be fun and for him/her to help her but he/he ends up hurting her instead of helping her
-
She is in a relationship or friendship and she is talking about how with every good thing there is a bad thing to go with it. But she love him or her so much that she doesn't want to end the relationship/ friendship.
-
She's in love with boy who's hurting her. She knows she deserves better and that he's weakening her instead of making her stronger but she loves him too much to let go. And she knows that he doesn't need her or love her the way she does him but she's too in love to leave.
-
She really likes a guy so she's describing him in the way that she sees him in the hopes that he likes her back
-
I love this song so much, that I even used this as a song to play in my Music class from Year 9 to play in front of my class.
-
I love to hear her angelic voice. sort of my favorite from Ingrid.
