Linkin Park: Crawling Meaning
Song Released: 2001
Crawling Lyrics
these wounds they will not heal
fear is how I fall
confusing what is real
there's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
consuming/confusing
this lack of self-control I fear is never ending
controlling/I...
-
to me this song is about to be insecure im a very insecure person and is a sheety feeling you feel like you are less than the others persons "theres something inside that the put me beneath the surface" you know that you are the same than they but this insegurity feeling dont let you be what you wanna be "this lack of self-control I fear is never ending
controlling,confusing what is real."
"to find myself again
my walls are closing in
(without a sense of confidence I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before
so insecure´"
"crawling in my skin
these wounds they will not heal
fear is how I fall
confusing what is real"
this words talks for itself the insecurity is fear and that take you to confusing the reality.. but inside you realized that this happens and thats what i like of linkin park it gives me the strength to know the im not the only person with things in mind and only what i can to do is try to be myself every moment -
The song means you want to end some kind of pain inside of you.

l think you're all taking this way to literally
l'm not that good at literature so l don't always get what metaphors mean and l interpret songs the way l feel them.
l am having a little trouble with this one as l cannot relato myself to it. but l'm sure it's not about drug addiction. Not every song that chaster sings is about drugs -
This whole song is about what goes on in your mind on magic mushrooms. To anyone who has taken mushies, all you would need to do is read the lyrics to understand. However, I will explain for those who cannot relate.
"Crawling in my skin"- meaning the common side effect of hallucinating the feeling of (usually) spiders or insects crawling on you during a trip. "Fear is how I fall"- relates to how if you let fear of tripping out overtake you, you will have a bad trip. "Confusing what is real"-pretty self-evident, especially since mushrooms twist your view of reality. "It`s haunting how I can't seem...
To find myself again, My walls are closing in"-Perfect example of depersonalization on mushrooms, where you completely lose your ego and you forget who you are as a human. Walls closing in simply being a common visual hallucination. Normally looks more like breathing than "closing in" though. Finally, "
(Without a sense of confidence, I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take) I've felt this way before,
So insecure"- This bit relates to how one can easily become overwhelmed on this hallucinogen. Too many people, too much noise, and unfamiliar environments will provoke extremely severe insecurity. This song is about trying to come back to reality off mushrooms and about how you are so lost that you don't even know who you are. "There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface, Consuming/confusing"- Psychopsilocybin. -
i thnk its about some form of addiction where the cravings are so strong you feel like crawling in your own skin, drives you crazy."this lack of self control i fear is never ending...destracting, reacting against my will...its haunting how i cant seem to find myself again...walls are closing in" when you have heavy cravings evrything seems to close in. have low self-confidence and also confidence that you can beat the addiction...i would say more but got to sleep got test 2m0z

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

The lyrics might also signify an effect of crystal meth in which the user has the sensation of insects "crawling in their skin". This would make sense as Chester was once an addict. The lyrics also describe somebody who goes through panic attacks, in which the victim, during the panic attacks, cannot control what's going on, and in a way loses his/her grip on reality.
