   He was completely head over heals for his lover/girlfriend.
   
   "Then sorrow, then sickness
   then the shock when you flip it on me
   So hollow, so vicious
   so afraid I couldn't let myself see
   That I could never be held "
   
   She broke up with him.
   
   "Back up, no, I'll hold myself.

   Sadness turns to anger, bitterness, and independence, like most break up victims.

   The promise of the love they once had is gone, we can presume the 'one last lie' may have been "we can still be friends", something that almost NEVER works out after a break up.

   this song reminds that if a guy begs for a girl to stay and girl promise that she will but at the middle girl broke her promise like words lost in the echo"...the guy become strong and face all the frustrations "Test my will, test my heart

   it shows that no matter how you want a person to stay they will do anything just to break and hurt someone for there own sake
