Louis Tomlinson: Just Like You Meaning
Just Like You Lyrics
Cigarette in my left hand
Whole world in my right hand
Twenty-five and it's all planned
Night out and it's ten grand
Headlines that I can't stand
But you only get half of the story
The cash, and the cars,...

#1 top rated interpretation:louis is gay. this song is about being gay.
"headlines that i can't stand"
hm mayb headlines about him being straight/with eleanor?
"you only get half of the story"
yeah because he is closeted and we aren't allowed to know anything else
"i'm just like you, if you only knew"
he's just like the rest of us f@gs but he can't say it so that's why "if you only knew"
"I wanna lay where she lays"
same vibes as girl crush. duh?
"Every heart breaks the same, Every tear leaves a stain, Can't I just be the same? Every heart breaks the same, Every tear leaves a stain, Let me be the same"
this is so sad. it's a cry asking to be free and love who he loves and be happy.

#2 top rated interpretation:In my opinion, this song is about Louis and his fans. He is just a man, who is just like all of us. As he says, his problems are different than yours or mine, but he is still human. Even though he is famous, he wants to be treated the same. Nobody knows what he is going through, except for the fun glamourous things. "But you only get half of the story" shows that everybody only hears the exciting part, and not the hard things.

#3 top rated interpretation:This song is about Louis and Harry. Larry is real! Let's think about this. Louis released "Just Like You" on National Coming Out Day, Oct. 11, 2017. And in the back of the lyric video there are articles. And if you look closely the articles are about the LGBTQ+ community and about George Michaels who was an artist that was closeted by Syco, the record label that Louis was with until recently when they parted ways on July 11. (Also I know this is just a coincidence but S*mon broke his back 28 days after Louis left Syco music.) And not to mention that two years later on the same day (National Coming Out Day Oct. 11, 2019) Harry released "Lights Up" where he is surrounded by men and women dancing around him. And also when the lyrics are changing in the "Just Like You" lyric video, it rearranges to say "I need H." Now let's think about the line "Cigarette in my left hand, whole world in my right hand." Most of Louis' tattoos are on his right arm. As well as the matching/related tattoos that Louis and Harry got at the same artist within 18 hours of each other. And then the lyric "I wanna lay where she lays" which is quite similar to the lyric in girl crush which Harry covered that is by the way not at all about liking a girl. The line is "I wanna taste her lips, yeah cause they taste like you." Which shows that Louis wants to be in the place of whichever girl Harry appears to be with according to the media. And that Harry wants to be in the place of however Louis is "with" (Possibly Eleanor, because let's be honest. Louis and Eleanor aren't actually dating, she's Louis' beard. It is her job to be Louis' girlfriend.) So I rest my case. Louis' song "Just Like You" is about Harry, and Larry is real! LARRY FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

i think this is about the media! he gets portrayed in a certain way. but wants to be treated the same, just because he’s seen as a celeb doesn’t mean he doesn’t have feelings and emotions. he is HUMAN.
