It’s Golden Hour Somewhere Lyrics

Is this what you needed? Is this what it's worth
To see the hidden folders, tool tipping out the dirt?
I wish that I could kiss the pixels off your lips
Describe our naked bodies over Zoom call partnerships
Is this why you see him at Tesla...

I feel like what this is trying to say is that money is brutally impacting the relationship between two people, with the girl falling for another man with more money. She is falling for him after seeing him buying watches and going to tesla dealerships. It says "his grass is the wrong shade of green, but he can pay to make a change." I feel like this is a reference to the phrase "The grass is greener on the other side. She sees this other guy's grass looking greener with money. The singer wants her to be his girlfriend still, but the line "I'm not sure if the stuff I want is even worth the price it costs" shows that he can only have her if he has money. Then I feel like what ties things together is the line, "They'll sell you the rope by which you'll hang yourself." The money won't be enough, and she won't get happier, and the money is taking over her life.

I believe this song is about two ex-partners reconvening and becoming friends once again. The person the singer is talking to broke up with the singer, and went on to get into a relationship with someone wealthy (Hence "They'll sell you the rope by which you'll hang yourself" and "He can pay to make a change"). The opposite goes on to break up with this (assumed) man and becomes friends or something else with the singer once again. They end up in this state in their own "Golden Hour", one of the prettiest times of day.
