Perfume Lyrics
It's 3:45 (AM)
And I just bite my tongue
Update me on your life
And now you've found?the?one
But I don't?like his eyes
And I distrust their?name
And I hate their haircut
They look like a prick (A prick)

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:i think this song might be about a ruined relationship where the girl only started dating the boy because she was left out when all her friends started dating. She realized how much she didnt like the boy and broke up with him (Hence the lyrics It Seems Like All Our Friends
Abruptly Fell In Love
And She Was In The Dust
Darling, Life Was Streaming Past
So She Learnt To Lie She Learnt How To Pretend)
the guy is still friends with the girl so he gets to hang out with the girl and her new boyfriend all the time. which brings us to the lyrics "Why cant you be a dick? why must you be so nice? its hard for me to move on when i dont really hate you." meaning he cant move on if he doesnt have a reason to hate them, theres not a reason he should move on. so he contsently fights with her to give him a reason to hate her and her boyfriend. it backfires when she just ignored him and stops hanging out with him. he takes to drinking his problems away hence the lyrics "Its 3:45, the taxis not arrived, i dont think hes coming." i also think this song might be connected to model busses or concrete so i will do a theroy about that to -
I think this song is about the opposite situation presented in "oh yeah, you gonna cry?" Where the narrator misses his ex and knows he wasn't good enough for her, but they stay best friends as she tells him all about the new guy and the narrator tries to hate him. But he knows this new one is way better for her than he is. and he knows he'll be better to her as well. eventually he and the guy become friends, but is still reminded of his heartache whenever he is around. The more he likes this guy, the more it hurts, because he feels more and more inadequate.
