Marilyn Manson: The Beautiful People Meaning
Song Released: 1996
The Beautiful People Lyrics
Don't bother to resist, I'll beat you
It's not your fault that you're always wrong
The weak ones are there to justify the strong
The beautiful people, the beautiful people
It's all relative to the size...

If you actually think that this song is about religion then you don't understand him. One, he does not hate mormons. Read his damn book. Two, this song is all about politics, and the way politics judge people. He's talking about the way they try to solve problems is always based on religion. Thous the verse "its all relative to the size of your steeple." look up what capitation means in the dictionary. and how politics think there better that people when the verse goes, " you cant see the forest through the trees, and cant smell your own shit on your knees."and he's talking about when the nazis discriminated everyone. Think...what beautiful means in the usa?...us! and we think we're better than everyone else. It's about power and politics, politics, politics.

I had a chance to talk to marilyn manson about this song. His responce was this
"the true meaning behind any song is not what the artists intentions were. It is what the listener can interpret and decide the meaning for him/herself. Tis the beauty of music."
so in short its what you interpret. -
