   My full interpretation is that 'a guy' is crashing a wedding (hence why the mother is angry and why he is seeing her in a dress of a different color). It's a special occasion and he wasn't invited (wedding). But he is realizing that he did her so wrong and wants to be with her - think about a wedding (the bride faces away from the crowd) and throughout the whole song he wants her to turn around to see him, to talk to him. Also, weddings are notoriously associated with drinking - hence the "3 or 4 to get this out".
   
   On a separate but common ground note, I contemplated inviting my ex to my wedding just to see what he missed out on so I can sympathize with this song - not empathize since I am not a guy.

   According to me this guy did something wrong to the girlfriend that lead to the death of the girl.The guy wasn't invited to the funeral. We see the guy moved on, he got another girlfriend but he can't loose it on how he loved the first one .....There is something this guy wants to finish with his first girlfriend because the girl seems to appear everytime

   I think it is about attending the girls wedding and realising how he didn't treat her right and now wants a second chance. thats why asking her to wait and not continue walk down the aisle , hence "turn around and wait."

   He’s killed her through the fact he's done so wrong....hence the reason she’s in a coffin... the video in the end shows his life unraveling when she leave. He has nothing left when she decides to leave. Like for like. He gets what he’s done to her. That’s the reason he asks her to leave as he wants forgiveness but it’s too late. The damage is done

   I think it has to do with him giving the love of his life an std and struggles to make up for it but finally does with money but she then takes all of his money and leaves.

   Sounds like he is at her wedding. Trying to interject in the speak now or forever hold your peace part of the ceremony. Her mother is there, it’s a special occasion, he never saw her in a dress that color. She is at the altar and he says, wait... turn around... we can work this out

    I think 'wait' is about a guy who drank his chances away, missed the opportunity to be with the love of his life, due to alcohol. When he realised it and try to fix his issues, it was too late. He lost it all.
