Maroon 5: Fortune Teller Meaning
Fortune Teller Lyrics
I won't be bringing news of what tomorrow brings
I'll leave that up to you
I'm not a fortune teller
Don't have a crystal ball
I can't predict the future
Can't see nothing at all
It doesn't mean I'm afraid
Of all...
-
I think the song is about a summer love where the girl think think in the future and the boy is thinking in the present.the girl want tu change that but the boy no
-
I think the song is about a relationship wich are going trough some problems where she wants him to change and she is insecure for te future of both being a couple and he has decided to risk it all beside her even if he can't change because of love
-
I think this song is about growing up. ln a moment of your life, you have to start thinking about future and what are you going to do then, but when you are young, you live the moment, and you don't want to worry about tomorrow
-
I think the song is about the perspective of a boy who is breaking up with his grilfriend but he doesn't want to.
-
For me the song is about growing up on a complicated relationship. When one of them is not worried about the future or the decisions that they take, the other one is stuck thinking how to save the relationship
-
I think the song is about the perspective of a boy that's going through a breakup with his girlfriend during the summer, a "summer romance" you can call it. He thinks that the relationship it's over but doesn't want to look at the future, he just wants to stay here. But eventually, time passes, and he's unaware of the events, he's not a fortune teller after all.
-
I think this song is about a summer love. The boy wants to stay with the girl but the girl wants him to change and he doesn't want to.
-
I think this song is about a boy in love whit a girl and he said can't know the future, but not is neccesary to him because they (the boy and girl) can stay togheter in wrongs or greats moments. And if the girl don't in love whit the boy he will stay in her side
-
i think this song was writing for a man, maybe thinking in a special person for him (boy or girl). he said like he is not for her, he felt very confused, the girl makes him doubt. He write that he can't see the future and he doesn't know what will happen tomorrow, and i think it’s okey, it’s the true. i hope he can move on with his life and stop being stuck. he can meet more people and they won't make him doubt.
-
I think it is about low self-steem in a relationship, how the singer has nothing to offer to his couple (or pretendient) he doesn't see a future together, he thinks he can't reach her standars but he leaves it up to her, he doesn't know the future.
-
Fortune teller is about a boy telling to her girlfriend that he can predict the future so stay at the moment and enjoy what are they living. Say that the thing are going to continue but the are going to stay there together for enojy their moments.
-
Some girls begin to pressure the guy that their with to marry them. I think this girl in the song is asking him if they are going to be something more. He doesn't know what to tell her. He wants her to just live in the moment and enjoy what they have because the feelings are growing. They don't have much in common but it doesn't seem to bother him. She might be having a fit because he claims she ruined the night. She was drowning him with questions. He wants her to stay. I think she wants certain things about him to change, but he tells her he'll never change. Basically, the girl wants a husband and wants him to settle down. He doesn't think she should worry about their future. Jut take it one day at a time and see what happens.
-
I think this song is about a woman, who want's realiability, and answers of questions about the future. Does the realtionship even have a future? Does it even make sense to try?
And he is just honest and tells her that he doesn't have a clue. There is no guarantee- because they want different things & he can't comprehend her dreams. But that doesn't mean he is afraid of what she said and asked. He just thinks worring about the future ruins the present time, the moment right now. And they rather should stay "stuck in this Moment" and enjoy the time.. -
I simply think this song is about what it can be like in a relationship.
Person 1 wants to know 'OK what do you want from this relationship, how do you feel about that, what's gonna happen with us, what's it gonna be like tomorrow' etc, and person 2 is like ''I don't know, just let things happen as they come and live in the moment, because I can't tell you what's gonna happen. Just enjoy things as they are now, and stop worrying about things that may never happen and stop asking me about it.'
To me it is a great, very underestimated song that almost everyone can relate to. It has some amazing, special vibe to it that I just love.
