Muse: Apocalypse Please Meaning
Apocalypse Please Lyrics
Come on and spread a sense of urgency
And pull us through
And pull us through
And this is the end
The end
This is the end of the world.
And this time we saw a miracle,
Come on it's time for something...

Apocalypse Please , reports the view of beggars with no visibility , but have a huge belief in their point of view . They , being away from normal people have a point of view of society and are often all the time trying to warn people about something tragic to come , perhaps something biblical, but it is actually an era of distance between people . This thought could only be achieved through intense rejection and insensitivity of people who are throughout the song , acting like robots and acting selfish with it . This is not a biblical apocalypse but d anda was where all the people who do not have a passionate vision of his own existence will have to pay for this attitude , as in the end of the clip , where only the beggar left the city . In the end, when all these people disappear , are representing , in fact , the total distance of a beggar with people who act differently from them . To him they were for the space and there is more to do. It's the end of your goal counselor or even your ideals , which were destroyed by the people around him .

I agree with ExperimentUno! The "Apocalypse PLEASE" is a request in my opinion, too. Bellamy once said it's about a religious man calling on his god. So I guess this man (from whose point he's singing) kind of wants the apocalypse to happen in order to verify his belief. He WANTS something biblical.
I always thought this song is dealing with the fact that people want proof of their belief. The last few lines of the song do not change. It's still "This is the end of the world". When I hear those words it seems to me like this person isn't gonna get proof of his belief because maybe we can't expect that. But again that is just what I have in mind when I hear the song. -
Apocalypse Please has a sort of passion to it that seems to convey more than 'Oh god, the world is blowing up around us.'
Starting with the title "Apocalypse PLEASE", a forward request. "Please, end the world."
Bellamy seems to be crying out, begging to see something big. Something 'biblical'. He says this with a sort of expectant tone, as if it won't really come and he's challenging an unknown force to bring the world to it's knees.
It's not about panic or chaos. It's about... an enormous expectation. Drama.
Then again, I could be terribly off. Just my perspective. -
The song is pretty much about the chaos and panic of the end of the world.
