Muse: Starlight Meaning
Starlight Lyrics
This ship has taken me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die
The starlight
I will be chasing a starlight
Until the end of my life
I don't know if it's worth it anymore
Hold you in my...

I love this song!! I sure want to share my interpretation. I don't speak English, but I'll try to make myself understood...
For me, Matt sings about a dream he has, and wishes to achieve.
"Far away, this ship has taken me far away. Far away from the memories of the people who care if I live or die" : For me, he refers as a "ship" to his will for getting his dream. And it doesn't matter if it gets him away from the people he dears, he will get this dream.
"Starlight, I will be chasing a starlight until the end of my life. I don't know if it's worth it anymore" : This means he'll chase this dream forever, even if it seems unreachable or without any meaning.
"Hold you in my arms, I just wanted to hold you in my arms": I don't think this refers to a person, exactly. He may be speaking to this very dream, how much he wishes to "hold", obtain it.
"My life, you electrify my life. Let's conspire to ignite all the souls that would die just to feel alive": I'm not too sure about this one, but Matt may be telling how he feels about his dream and what he'll do once he gets it (ignite all the souls that wish to feel alive? wonder what that means...).
"I'll never let you go if you promise not to fade away, never fade away": Same here, he doesn't want his dream to fade, and asks it not to disappear (wth...).
"Our hopes and expectations. Black holes and revelations": I don't know... This kinda scares me. He could be saying his hopes and expectations (his dream) are somehow related to black holes, big and dark discoverings.... And thinking about this "ignite all the sould that would die just to feel alive" thing... Please don't scare me, Matt.
OK, that's all!! See you guys.

The lead singer is talking about chasing your dreams, and that he may of felt depressed and lonely at one point in his life, hence the line 'far away, this ship has taken me far away' and someone coming along and brightening up his life, hence the line 'my life, you electrify my life'
