Muse: Stockholm Syndrome Meaning
Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics
I won't stand in your way
let your hatred grow
and she'll scream
and she'll shout
and she'll pray
and she had a name
yeah she had a name
and I won't hold you back
let your anger rise
and we'll fly
and we'll fall
and we'll burn
no...

No I think I agree with the first post because the song title says it all, Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in an abducted hostage, in which the hostage exhibits loyalty to the hostage-taker, in spite of the danger (or at least risk) in which the hostage has been placed. Stockholm syndrome is also sometimes discussed in reference to other situations with similar tensions, such as battered person syndrome, child abuse cases, and bride kidnapping (wikipedia.com). Thus with that in mind the song is about someone who is sympathizing with their captor.
