Age of Consent Lyrics

Won't you please let me go
These words lie inside they hurt me so
And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what I want to do
I'm not the kind that needs to tell you
Just what you want me to

I always thought the meaning of this song was straight forward. This song is about homosexual love that is then (80’s)illegal in Britain due to this horrendous law that won’t allow homosexual relations if you are under 26. I assume the “crucial point” is where point is the love between the men is now a crime with this law. This song, gay or straight, should be heart wrenching in that if your love for another comes with jail sentence. The law is called “Age of Consent”.

I imagine this is a song about not wanting to comply and compromise one's principles away with evilness. in order for the individual not to be enslaved by the worldly temptations of the devil. where one needs to stay free and be free from it's unholy and ungodly spirit of sourcery and witchcraft. which is being used today within the many forms of religion, along with the judicial set up systems of legalized laws, by which wants one's willing consent for giving up one's true God given sovereign freedoms away for the exchange of government[s] corp. privliges and rights, used as legalized licenses now t lie, plunder and steal that we always have to pay for in one form or another, while losing more of our freedoms away, trying to live in this new ''Age Of Consent''.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
