   Feel that this song has alot of his background in life but to most, its the transition he experienced during his mothers battle with drug addiction and how it affected him and their relationship to the end of his mother losing that battle the girl in the scenario is depicting an ex-girlfriend because like I said it is a collection of how that one thing affected multiple parts of his life but also because the music video would be able to reach more people this way and could be more relatable "in my opinion".

   I think this song is simply just about being deeply in love with someone but they do not feel the same way, and they drift away slowly. the pain of being in love with someone but they get so distant is so so relatable and I understand this song greatly. I think he's talking about a girl that suddenly stopped talking to him or is slowly getting cold and he really felt something for her.

   I got really really confused but im confident that it not about joy or anything it's about a person. The thing that rlly confused cuz of the video but it was a younger girl so id think it's his mom. It's either about his sister or an ex-girl. What also threw me off was the fact they got into a car wreak. But maybe that was just their relationship crashing.

   I thought maybe he is talking about Joy, as in his happiness. His pain has taken on a altar of some sort of. obviously there is Nate and then there is a side of him that is angry and hurt. He talks to them all the time in the songs.
