NF: Intro III Meaning
Intro III Lyrics
If it wasn't for me, you would've never wrote Therapy
I've been here for you, but how come you're never there for me?
It's a little bit twisted, but I miss when you and I had scary dreams
I don't...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about trying to overcome the voices in your head. Nate is talking to the person in his head who is telling him that he isn’t good enough and that the person in his head did all the hard work to get him famous.

Ok because people think that intro 3 is depressing or whatever y’all wanna call it but he’s actually talking about how he’s fighting the person or thought he fears..If u listen to all his songs “nate “ refers to NF as a mistake in his life and NF which is his thought thinks that nate neglects him and tries to find ways to keep him out of his life .In one song NF stated that “Nate”is trying to take credit for everything such as his success But Nate was truly trying to ignore him cs he NF came off as an bad alter ego towards him .(I’m js keepin it real in my opinion..nobody has to agree with me)!!

I think that not only is Fear in this song but so is Anger. To me I see 3 different voices in this. And at first their in the basement -where Fear and Anger live before he "goes outside".And Nate mentions in Mansion that he carries Anger around with him. I think Anger might be the one that doesn't shut up and doesn't listen, possibly even the mocking-type comments. Also Fear says twice in this song "I know your mad". Anger isn't a main character here but I believe it has a supportive role. Especially because Nate might need the Anger to help him conquer his Fear and finally bury it.

Im guessing its pretty obvious, but this song is a conversation between NF and his fear which he has mentioned in a few other songs before, especially Mansion. Its about how he always thought his fear controlled him but then he realized that he's the one controlling the fear. He thought it was a mistake letting the fear get to him and that it was holding him back, but it has actually helped him come out of his shell in a way and overcome certain situations.
Thats only my personal view, though.
