I think this has to be one of the top sobgs of the album, N expresses what fame has brought to him. The pain and struggle of the transitional period from the old him to the new NF. Now he nolonger wants to be hooked up with people, problems and fame too because of the things it comes with "I never thought it'd be like this"

I think this song is about Nate letting go of old habits because they make him and the people he loves miserable. However he finds this to be a difficult task. He wants to let go of his haunting past and destructive thoughts, he thought he could but didn’t realism how difficult this would be
