Just an introduction stating that if you listen to their music they'll keep it up as stated in the line "We swear to shake it up, If you swear to listen.". and also that they are still trying to make it big in the music scene as stated in the line "oh, were still so young and desperate for attention.".

I don't know exactly what the song is about. But I know the title "the only difference between martyrdom and suicide is press coverage" is from the book "Survivor" by Chuck Palahniuk.

Thats all I have so far...I'll update soon hopefully.

I think this song is about them really introducing themselves. As them being a new band to the whole music scene. "Swear We'll Shake it up if you'll swear to listen." meaning that as long as we listen they'll keep doing what they do. "We're still so young desperate for attention." meaning they're just a bunch of 19 year old kids beginning wanting to get known. "And I believe this may call for a proper introduction..." I think that's Brendon saying "Hey! We're a new band. This is what we do."

Something along those lines. And jeez. They're getting so famous. Making me sad. I knew them when they were unknown.
