It’s like he wrote it for my brother I watch him fight drugs for 20 years an sad thing is that his choice of drug was meth but passed from fentanyl the song speaks to me in so many ways absolutely love this song I listen to it at least once a day

Just like say Hello to Heaven, this is a song inspired by Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. You would be surprised by how many early alternative songs are written about, inspired by or a tribute to Andy. Times of Trouble was written by both Stone and Chris. Which Stone was the guitarist for Mother Love Bone and was actually Cornell’s roommate when he passed. Far Behind by Candlebox is another Wood inspired master piece.

First off, this song is by Temple of the Dog, not Pearl Jan. This song is pretty self explanatory. "When the spoon is hot and the needles sharp, and you drift away." Drugs. Chris Cornell is the singer and songwriter of this musical gift. He struggled with addiction as a young man and maybe dabbled in it a little as he was older. It's about getting through those rough patches and redeeming yourself. RIP CORNELL NO ONE SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE
