I didn't take it that way I felt that the song was about her marriage with Carey. That she won't let their marriage fail because you have to take the good with bad in marriage. She says you decided the fight was over meaning their marriage wasn't worth firing for.every one you know is trying to smooth it over because in a divorce everyone pity you. Shes afraid of the dark but if her love is with her she has no need to be afraid. She says she is the king of the great escape, but that she is done running. She ends with the passion and pain will keep US (her and Carey) alive. I really love Pinks music, she is so talented.
