Secondhand Serenade: Your Call Meaning
Your Call Lyrics
-
"I am torn to do what I have to, to make you mine, stay with me tonight".
It should be OBVIOUS that he did something forceful.
She probably wanted to get away from him, doesnt want him no more. He didnt like that. So either he raped her, then killed her to make her his. At least for tonight, for the last time.
And he is "torn" about it.
Sounds typical and logical for a desperate cling to a one sided love. -
For me, this song is about a guy whom the girl he loves lost all her memories with him. He's missing the old times when the girl still remembers him.
"I was born to tell you I love you,
And I am torn to do what I have to,
To make you mine
Stay with me tonight"
He's trying his best for her to remember him. Because he loves her so much. For him, he was born to love this girl.
"And I'm tired of being all alone,
And this solitary moment
Makes me want to come back home"
He's sad because it seems that it's been a long time since the girl lost her memories but still she can't remember anything about him. There comes a point that he's thinking of giving up and letting her go. -
I think it's about a couple who is desperate;y in love. But, he has to leave for some reason and he's dreading telling her but, he'd rather tell her and spend his last night with her rather than not tell her and just leave.
