Something Corporate: Konstantine Meaning
Konstantine Lyrics
And the places that you go
When the lights are turned down low
And I don't understand
All the things you've seen
But I'm slipping in between
You and your big... dreams
it's always you and my big...
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
No no no no "when the first star you see may not be a star" is out of a jimmy eat world song ppl?! "its to jimmy eat world and those nights in my car *when the first star you see may not be a star* I'm not your starr"
-
Another relation to the K would be the line, ' I can spell confusion with a K and I can like it '
It's basically saying at the start that she's got this huge life that he can't begin to imagine or understand and he feels like he's secondary to all her aspirations
"I'm slipping in between you and your big dreams"
However, she's all he wants or dreams about and she's allways with him when he gets his goals.
When she leaves him he fells lucky cos he's shot of such a sick feeling but at the same time he's upset and angry and she's aware of this and he knows she's gnna come back in the end even though it's against her better judgement. She doesn't want to get too involved because he'll stop her achieving her goals, sort of but she allready is and she stays with him cos she doesn't want to lose both.
he then goes on to talk about how he had dreams that he was going to accomplish with her even though it was difficult for him to do that, and he's sorry that he's stopped either of them from achieving things.
he was worried at first that he was ruining her sense of achievement by her belief she was in a relationship of love when he was about sex but he's realising he wanted so much more than that.
" I'm not your star, isn't that what you said, what you thought this song meant"
she thought the song was saying he was all about the sex sort of thing, and her silence is something he's gonna have to put up with cos of that except when she talks to him again he needs to let her know how much he seriously does care and noone else has the ability to hurt her like he does, meaning her feelings for him are obviously more than anyone else. He really does miss her and he still wants the sex just the relationship that went with it.
I feel truly awful for killing that song just there and it wasn't brilliantly well explained but it's personal ideas n shit. It is an amazing song though. -
Well this song is very meaningful. I don't know what Konstantine stands for but I know its spelt with a K beacause the girl this song is about's name is Krystal and she spells it with a K, therefore the K on constantine.
