So Far Away Lyrics
-
I think that the third comment is right on point. I have had such a rough life and when I met my wife for the longest time I kept thinking it was a dream and was afraid to wake up and see it wasn't real.
Listen...there's NOTHING like the love of a good woman (or a good man) and you only really get to find that soulmate once. Take care of them and treat them right and you'll never lose them. I can forgive and I'm not ashamed...to be the person I am today. I'm proud of what I've become despite what I went through. I made myself a better person. You can too.
May your days be filled with peace love and serenity,
And your nights with warmth and comfort. -
A loner in middle school tries to become popular by turning his back to his friends and starting his own group and along the way thinking about suicide. Sounds a lot like my life.

If you listen to alot of their earlier stuff, like Tormented and Dysfunction (which are great) you'll find that alot of the lyrics are based off of his life he had with his family and just what he went through. When he wrote this song, I figure that he was looking back on all that, and just was amazed on how things have changed. Hes older, more mature, and able to deal with the shit that really made his younger life miserable. He is "So Far Away" from the past, hes living his dreams, and he can forgive and love his family. It all feels like a dream to him, the way his life is so different and good today than it was in the past.

now that he is with someone he loves, it does not matter what he did before. he's a new person with her, he smiles unlike before, he laughs unlike before, but he's afraid its a dream because its so unlike what he had before.
