Taylor Swift: Come Back.......Be Here Meaning
Come Back.......Be Here Lyrics
4 AM, the second day,
How strange that I don't know you at all.
Stumbled through the long goodbye,
One last kiss, then catch your flight,
Right when I was just about to fall
I told myself don't get...

I think this song is about a love interest who she was separated from. The lyrics clearly show the pain and longing she feels, and how she regrets not making the most of what time they had together.
-
The song is about love interest (rumored, and not confirmed by Taylor.) Zac Efron. Taylor played nonchalant towards him when asked about him and the possible dating outcome. Whenever it came to Efron, Taylor would give nonchalant uncaring responses, and shrugged them off without a single reaction.
On March 1st Zac flew to NYC for work. On March 7th, Zac flew to London for work. In April he again flew to NYC first then London in a small sum of time, proving he has a hectic schedule.
That being said. The song is about falling for someone you didn't know you had feelings for. Taylor in the lyrics many times, implies she made a big mistake as to why she admits to playing nonchalant, and; "Now I can Put this Down" / "Sink In." All of those lyrics, imply that Taylor made a mistake, cause she would've had him, if she hadn't acted that way, but it's too late. Now she is stuck with the pain of long distance and being in love which she hates. -
I think this song is about falling in love with someone you've got to be apart from. Because of the circumstances, you can't always be together with them. It's really painful and you miss them all the time. Also... I think that the 'I guess you're in London today' and all the other frequent uses of places may just be metaphors. He may not be that far away physically, but it feels like they are 'worlds away'. Also, you don't want to need the person like you do, but you're experiencing these feelings like you never have done before. 'If I'd have known what I know now, I never would've played so nonchalant' implies that she always sort of knew they had something but she wishes now that when she had the time then, she'd made something more of the potential relationship.
-
I think this song is about Harry Styles. I mean think about it, they're both so famous and didnt have much time for each other at all. They would have to fly out to see each other and leave just a few days later "I told myself don't get attatched but in my mind I play it back, spinning faster than the plane that took you" , "I don't wanna miss you like this" "I guess your in London today, and I don't want to need you this way" are just dead give aways. I just think the whole song is a give away and decribes how her and Harry couldn't be together because of their busy schedules. It makes so much sense.

The song talks about how she's in a relationship with somebody and she has to be away from that person a lot. It's hard to say that last goodbye before catching the flight.
When she's alone "the feeling sinks in" she really misses him and wants him to be be back here.
She goes on to talk about how she regrets that she didn't make the most out of the time that they spent together as she sings " And now that I can put this down, if I had known what i know know, I never would have played so nonchalant" She feels desperate that she wants him to take her with him.
She talks about how missing that person who far away is the cruelest way of falling in love because they are so far from each other. -
