Science & Faith Lyrics

Tried to break love to the science
In an act of pure defiance
I broke her heart.
And as I pulled apart her theory
As I watched her growing weary
I pulled her apart
Having heavy conversations
About the furthest constellations of our souls....

it means that love is something both scientific and mysterious. Scientific to the extent of being a part of human emotion and something that is always present in the genetic structure of man. Mysterious in the sense that even Science may consider it a paradox for being quite taboo in a sense of misinterpreted actions but normal for the development of human society. the song simply states the limits of Science through comparing it to love which has multiple meanings through different perspectives. It means that Science and Religion may even be in harmony if both sides pay due respect to the other. But it also says that there are things which are of worth more importance than knowledge and that is human emotion. As humans we are given limitations and are given emotions to be contented with the things we know. Thus in conclusion, Science is knowledge underdeveloped in human society but more than enough to explain the known and let the unknown be as it is.

The song is about love and whether or not it can be explained through science and chemical reactions etc. "Science and Faith" questions this and suggests that love is something deeper and more complex that cannot be explained by science.

The song writer however impossible, tries to explain love scientifically to his partner.but love, humans and our emotions are not some variables anybody can study and come up wit conclusions for it.it differs from one individual to another and that,my friends is what makes love very special and she tries to let him see it too.

A man (let's call him Danny) is trying to find the scientific meaning behind life, using his own love life to help him. He shares his ideas with his girl (wife or girlfriend) and tells her his discoveries. He shares that he thinks it's 'an illusion of the heart' etc.. and so many other ideas. He is so lost in his experiments that he is very taken aback when his girl tells him to knock it off. Nothing can explain love. Nothing. It's different for everybody. It's too special for a definition. She tells him 'you can't find FAITH or HOPE down a telescope, you won't find HEART and SOUL in the stars, and you can break EVERYTHING down to chemicals, but you CAN'T EXPLAIN a love like OURS'. It's a feeling to powerful to be explain. I can't even explain it. It's so difficult. You try?
