The Script: Superheroes Meaning
Superheroes Lyrics
All the meaner side of me
They took away the prophet's dream
For a profit on the street
Now she's stronger than you know
A heart of steel starts to grow
All his life, he's been told
He'll be nothing when he's...

#1 top rated interpretation:In the music video, you see the Dad leave for work in a suit, but on the next screen you see he can't even afford to pay for the train (as he walks and train goes past) and even rides a free truck ride to a dump site. He then changes from his suit into a "scavenger" outfit to look for anything of value from trash which he evetually finds a toy to bring to his daughter. He goes finally home in his suit trying to hide from his daughter all the struggles they face. Somewhere in the middle, there is also a screenshot of the girl where she shares her food, I don't really get that part.
As an entrepreneur, I can fully relate to this video where you take blows and everyday struggles to get to where you are going. A necessary process of enduring pain and staying strong until you realize your vision and get to where you want to be. But for the moment while things are not going well, you just have to soldier on and not show the blows that you receive, that you can keep on believing everything is going to be alright as long as you put in the work so at the end of the day, you see that smile from the people that you love. -

#2 top rated interpretation:I think the song is about how not everyone's life is the same. There are some people who have lived really difficult lives. I believe it lets the =m know that even if their life is difficult today the way they move forward and keep going gives them a heart of steel and turns them into superheroes. The pain they have been through makes them very strong even though people often don't see their strength, they are stronger than some can even imagine to be.

#3 top rated interpretation:This song talks about life of different people. It tells us that they have gone through a lot of hurt so now they've grown stronger. It shows us that we should not let pain bring us down but instead turn that pain into courage. The lines "When you've been fighting for it all your life, You've been working every day and night, That’s a how a superhero learns to fly" means that when you've been doing your best to do the right thing you slowly become a hero.
-
I think it's about a father who's trying to hide the fact that he's poor from his daughter. In the music video, you can see him bringing home a toy from the piles of rubbish for his daughter. He also changes out of his suit to do this and then back into it again when he's finished looking. I think he does this because he's trying not to worry his daughter by making her believe that he has a stable job even though he can't even afford a train ticket.
-
I think this song is about everyday people lives or life of every people in the world like going to school going to job etc you know everyday people task and I also thinks that this song is for the people who become superheroes for us for example your father who going to job everyday and everyhour to feed you well that is my opinion only thank you for reading.
-
I think that we all have big struggles. We may not know everyone else's troubles, but we do know that we are not alone. We have others there for us even people that are younger that us. The guy proves that they may be poor but his daughter comes first.
-
After watching the music video, I couldn't help but become emotional on how deep and real the song actually was. Being a Superhero means fighting not for oneself, but for the ones you love.
-
I think the song is about two people with two different experiences. As they grow, they become superheroes. However, the people who see them in their success don't always see the hardships they faced before. After all, superheroes need to learn somewhere, right?
-
When you've been fighting for it all your life you've been struggling to make things right thats how a superhero learn to fly every day, every hour turn the pain into power
-
I think it's about the hardship and struggles he and others have gone through all around the world. When you finally master the art of turning 'pain into power' you start soaring as you finally learn to fly. I think anyway
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I think this song speaks to me and many others. The idea is simply that pain and troubles are only temporary. We can all overcome hard times and by helping others, we become superheroes. This song speaks volumes to me personally.
-
I believe that this song is about a father and his daughter who both have tough lives. But the daughter motivates her dad to be the best he can be and helps him "learn to fly"
-
i think that both the boy and girl in the song grow up in really discouraging surroundings and start to build a wall of steel around their hearts to block of the pain.after all,we are all a product of our surroundings.
-
For I think it's about when one has potential but is looked down by people because his goals seem impossible to achieve..however the criticism and hardship keeps his Fire lit.everytime I listen to this song it makes me want to keep on going even when there are clear obstacles
-
I think its about someone who is in hard times and people discourage him/her. He/her works hard towards its goal and ignores what people say. When I listen to this I think of hard times.
-
I listen to songs I can relate to and me and this girl had this "thing" cause she didn't want commitments, a week later she has a thing with this other guy and I haven't fully moved on, we don't talk anymore and I haven't been trying to. So in my mind it's more of telling my story step by step. This song tells me to stop struggling to pull this together because " this is how a superhero learns to fly"
-
The girl is his inspiration. Her kind heart and courage to overcome obstacles have cause him to take a step forward to go beyond himself. Beyond what others think. Pain becomes their friend. Only pain will show them what matters most to the heart. That conviction is the power to move on and to move forward in doing the right thing. Not by conventions but a pure defiance for the betterment of the world.
