The Taste of Ink Lyrics

Is it worth it can you even hear me
Standing with your spotlight on me
Not enough to feed the hungry
I'm tired and I felt it for awhile now
In this sea of lonely
The taste of ink is getting old
It's four o' clock in the fucking...

I thought it was about finally getting BIG.

The taste of ink = getting signed to a label.

The song is about the band wanting to leave the Utah town they lived in. They sing about getting out and such. The term "Taste of Ink" is about frustration, and Bert biting down on a pen and ink coming out.

i think it's about how things just seem to be standing still like he is in a rutt and he thinks it's about time to brake out and have some fun and move on and find something new and exciting, about experiancing life to the fullest with people that you care about

This song is about them going into the big times as a band. Them enjoying themselves, but he never forgot the girl back home, and he's saying he's going to take her with him and as long as she is alive hell be with her.while still enjoying fame.
