   I feel like this song can relate to anyone who is struggling with anxiety and/or depression. For me, my thoughts often drag with me until my mind looses consciousness and I dive into sleep. Sleep is one of my forms of escape from these dark thoughts, and I am sure many people find sleep as an escape as well. When the song says "Won't you say goodnight, so I can say goodbye," is saying that once Tyler goes to sleep, his thoughts do too. He can say goodbye to them for the night, only to meet them again in the morning. I feel like we all can feel like this at times though, we all would like to say goodbye to our thoughts every once in a while. And sometimes we can, other times its temporary, and most of the time the thoughts never stop.

   these lines resonate so much with me. it is a plea for depression and anxiety to please, PLEASE give me a break. it's when you've been crying for forever ("the tears and the fears begin to multiply")and you just want rest, to be able to lie down and be unbothered by dark thoughts. it's a feeling of being helpless and begging to God ("i'm falling farther, calling my father") for it to stop.

   I think that this song is about a person who deals with sleeping disorders. He/She can't sleep because the thoughts about suicide, depression and about everything else won't stop.

   When it says won't you say goodnight so i can say goodbye, maybe it means how, to someone else it's just saying goodnight and to wake up the next morning but to Tyler it's so I can say goodbye so like sleeping is an escape from all your problems idk
