Twenty One Pilots: Before You Start Your Day Meaning
Before You Start Your Day Lyrics
You don't have much time to make your slits look just right
I'm in your mind
I'm singing
I'm in your mind

I think that, "You don't have much time to make your slits look just right" means that we all fake a smile, or hide how we're truly feeling at least once in our life. If we fake a smile, we have to make it look believable enough, which would be how you 'make your slits seem just right.' The same goes for hiding how we're feeling, we'd have to be believable enough. Since both hiding true feelings and faking smiles tie along with people suffering from depression, he might've used the word 'slits,' as it's also believed that most people with depression self harm in ways such as cutting themselves.
When he says he's in your mind, he could mean that he's trying to save you, or to help get rid of your depression, since the goal of Twenty Øne Piløts is to save everyone from things such as suicide, depression, etc.
"Look in the mirror and ask your soul if you're alright" goes back to referring that we hide our true feelings, by saying we're fine when we're truly not. "Put on the glitter that your soul hides behind" also ties in with what I was saying earlier, about faking a smile. The glitter plays as a mask we use to make others believe we're alright, when we're truly not.
When he says, "You're in my mind" he could mean the same thing as when he's in your mind, except we're the ones who save him, and help him get rid of his depression. We do that by standing with him and supporting him and his band.
"The clouds above will sing" could mean that everybody, especially God will try to get rid of your depression, and try to save you.
"And in your mind you're singing" could mean that you are the one person who can prevent your suicide, and end your depression. You are the one who's ultimately responsible.
