   Since they are Christians they talk about God in each song in this one I think maybe he has been doing something bad. I think he is wanting the bad habits to go away so he asks God.
   I personally understood why he wanted to leave his sinful shell since we all do bad things.He should continue to trust God.

   i think this song is about the guy who wrote the song, i dont know his name (tyler i think) and his thoughts and sins, hence the name heavy dirty soul."death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit." means how a rabbit fears a dog and tries to escape it, in his case death is the dog and he is the rabbit. he wants to get away from death and fight to survive. "mindless zombies walking around" means other people that follow everyday trends and habits.
   
   "gangsters dont cry therefore i am
   mr. Misty eyed" means he is calling himself a gangster so therefore he cannot cry, so he is just misty eyed. this is just what i think about the song with some help from other interpretations. its still an epic song however you look at it.

   Great song the video does a really great job of interpreting the song
   
   Sounds like he is saying he is who he is at the time of writing, he has some things in his head he wants to write about, he is not caring if it is rap hip hop or whatever because he is writing better songs in his basement than the gangster wanna be posers in that musical world. He is not caring what you call his music.
   Saying he is mister misty eyed sounds like he is saying he is not a gangster thug wanna be, he is not putting a block on his feelings and false bravado. the music world is trying to get your soul heavy and dirty from the materialism and the ego driven world that anybody can fall into. Joseph does not understand what other people who follow mindless trends and think they have time to figure it out when you have to one life to figure it out so do the right things now do not wait and procrastinate. the car in the video is a heavy car that becomes lighter as it loses its pieces.. driven by the reaper...metaphorically he is telling people to lose what you do not need and quit letting evil drive your life and think you have time to save yourself. lighten up, clean up... it is easier for your soul to fly and lose the gangster wannabe trendy lifestyle that will drive you to a path of destruction.

   Personally think that this song refers to his own thoughts, depression, and struggle that slowly killin' his mind and the anxiety rises.
   
   He creates music and songs (which I think is the band's passion, to fight and share the bad things with other, which is the fans and people who through the same condition as him in order to let them know "we're fighting together, you're not alone")
   
   "Can you save my HeavyDirtySoul?" (He needs someone to talk to and helps him out)

   This song is about Tyler and the "infestation in his minds imagination" These are the suicidal, bad thoughts in his mind and trying to smoke them out so they go away. He is saying its not rap and its an attempt to make the voices stop, he is focusing on something else and writing things down so he isn't left with his thoughts.
   
   The next part of the song is the chorus and hes asking if someone can save his heavy dirty soul. this is meaning, can someone save him before he loses his mind or does something bad.
   
   He calls himself a gangster and gangsters dont cry so he is misty eyed meaning he only has tear in his eyes and can not cry.
   
   The mindless zombies are other people who are controlled by the trends that are happening and the people who follow what others do and say, hence the reason they say YOLO. And you have one time to figure it all out, means you have one time to figure out who you want to be, a follower or a leader.
   
   And after the chorus he says "Death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit" A dog makes a rabbit run away to try and live and that's what death is to him, it makes him want to live and fight to stay alive.
