Twenty One Pilots: We Don't Believe What's on T.V. Meaning
We Don't Believe What's on T.V. Lyrics
We don't believe what's on TV,
Because it's what we want to see,
And what we want, we know we can't believe,
We have all learned to kill our dreams.
I need to know that when I fail you'll still be here,
'Cause if you...

Don't believe what's on TV. That's all he is saying. We all believe social media that so and so has this and this's baby but won't own it and really so and so doesn't know this and this. Most people make up rumors but we all believe it so we ca say we know this. People say don't believe everything you hear or see and it's true. We DON"T believe what's on TV.

I feel like this song is about how everyone is so engrossed in social media and they believe everything online. This is his way of saying that he doesn't care what you look like, or "what's in your hair" he just wants to know YOU. What you think, how you feel, your hobbies. It's a way of showing that we don't have to live up to the media's standards because they don't matter.

It says that we don't believe what's on TV because it is something we want to either see or have, but cannot get it, so we have learned to kill our own dreams/passion by wanting something else's on the TV. not sure, just my intepretation. :)

I think that it means that Tyler says and thinks that he cant believe a lot of the public and the media and also that we his fans can't believe the rumours on the TV and on the media.
