Landing in London Lyrics

To me, it's my relationship with God and how I keep blaming God for taking my father away from me. God is the Light.
It's hard waking up to the reality that you're gone but I'll somehow make it through. I'll keep you close to my heart no matter where I am, the distance doesn't matter coz I know you will always be here near me. My favorite part would most probably be "I need your love to hold me up when it's all too much to bear. When the night falls in around me, I don't think I'll make it through. I'll use your light to guide my way coz all I think about is you."
It's my plea to God to keep me under his wing.
This whole song is insanely touching. Feel it through your heart and speak through your soul. -
He misses the girl he loves and wants to get back to her.

This is actually a very beautiful song with sort of a basic meaning I guess. As the first anonymous states yes it is about a man who leaves the woman he loves for what the song portrays as a career; possibly as a musician or another profession that causes him to leave home. As the song unfolds however it isn't just about going to London, it mentions clearly that "L.A. is getting kind of crazy, New York is getting kind of cold." The song points out that no matter where he is, he feels lonely and helpless without the girl he loves. Landing In London is truly one of my favorite 3 Doors Down songs and is very beautifully put together.
