it's about being fallen. We are all fallen. We all dance with are own baggage and evil try to run but we are found out and the only way back is to fall on our knees again but it's hard sometimes because we become a slave to the very thing we hate and fear coming before God to purge us if you have ever been there your knees shake bad. Love lust Drugs. Our Spirit screams out. How many of us have been in some sort of addiction or love lust and we become lost. Our tongues we lie and we can either speak life and truth or speak evil with our tongues. The Song is very deep and knowing that they have strong Christian roots he's singing about trying to be his real self but only God knows who we really are and what our potential is. But When we listen to ourselves and become worldly. Only God can save us and if we don't overcome ourselves the lies and sin we are all sitting ducks waiting for the fall. The gnomes in general say what you want about them but they are evil little demons and creepy he wants to kick the crap out of them because they represent what he hates but they keep looking at him so he wants to defeat them. When your a Christian and we sin for awhile and get lost eventually God keeps finding us to the point our back is against the wall. Great song, At least that's my quick interpretation is.

    Tonight I'll have a look
And try to find my face again
    Buried beneath this house
My spirit screams and dies again
Out back a monster wears a cloak of Persian leather
    Behind the TV screen
I've fallen to my knees- he is putting on a persona, hence trying to find his face again. he is mad at himself for the way he falsely portrayed himself on tv because he was scared to be his authentic self.
I said you got me where you want me again
    And I can't turn away
I'm hanging by thread and I'm feelin' like a fool
    I'm stuck here in-between
    The shadows of my yesterday
    I want to get away
I need to get away- the media "has him where they want him" he is being passive and making the kind of statements he know people will agree with and regretting it now.
My tongue has now become a platform for your lies- he is speaking what people want to hear not the truth.
"im hanging by a thread and im feeling like a fool" he feels his career is hanging by a thread and speaking truth will cut the thread, but feels like a fool for dumbing down his messages.
"deep in the jungle camouflaged by all the fallen leaves. A hand holds up the sky while shamefully i make my plea. the alters calling but i cant seem to take my stand, guess im a cowad scared to face the man i am" the fallen leaves are other celebrities who are not living up to their moral obligations. they have knowledge that the world needs to hear but instead tell the world what they want to hear, what wont cause controversy to protect their career. Overall its about how he isnt using his fame for the greater good, he wants to spread truth and show his full potential, but he wants his career secure more.

I feel like the meaning for this song is about love, lust, amd simply overall torment.

In this song,he is dealing with the fact that he is "hanging by a thread and feeling like a fool" because he both loves and hates how she is using him.
