Ed Sheeran: Bloodstream Meaning
Bloodstream Lyrics
Couple women by my side
I got sinnin' on my mind
Sipping on red wine
I've been sitting here for ages
Ripping out pages
How'd I get so faded
How'd I get so faded
Oh
No no don't leave me lonely now
If you...

#1 top rated interpretation:He is talking about pain, and drowning himself in alcohol as he states in most of his songs. He says dont leave me lonely, so he might have somebody leave him, either by death or just by walking away. Another thing that Sheeran states is the color crismon in his eyes. We all knpow that crismon is ht ecolor of blood, love and loss. Sheeran could be talking about all three or maybe just one in particular. He then speaks about chemicals in his bloodstream. He probably did drugs, maybe trying to cope with a fact that a loved one that has died. I feel like he is talking about someone he knew. He sings about seeing scars on her. But he obviously isn't a "her" and he probably lost someone to suicide by their own hands, indicating to the "crimson" he saw. The scars could also be emotional scars, talking about something that she went through and never could really heal completely, just like a scar.

Obviously.
Its very heartfelt. Must be one of my favourites from X. -
It’s about life as a heroine addict and coping with the loss of his love. The scars are tract marks. Crimson is the flash in the needle before shooting up.
-
About an addiction to drinking after his girlfriend leaving him. His addiction gets so bad that he basically drinks his life away.
-
It is about how people scrutinize you, again and again, you try to stay strong, but eventually what they say will get to you in other words "its kicking in"

I think it's about his lover left him because he was a drinker and a drug addict and now it has resulted home to basically drinking himself to death
-
It starts off being about the set up for a three some. He'said waiting for a drug to kick in, probably Ecstasy.
-
It is about and overdose.
