Ed Sheeran: I See Fire Meaning
Song Released: 2013
I See Fire Lyrics
Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Durin's son
If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb...

#2 top rated interpretation:"I See Fire" is a song about the destruction and aftermath of the great Dwarven kingdom of Erebor in Middle-Earth by the dragon Smaug. "If the sky should be filled with fire and smoke, keep watching over Dúrin's sons" refers to the exile of the Dwarves from their homeland as well as their proud heritage: the Dwarves of Erebor were descendants of Dúrin, the first King Under the Mountain. There is also a reference to the hundreds of Dwarves who lost their lives fighting: "If we should die tonight, we should all die together." What do I mean by all this? Basically, this is a song for Middle Earth, one that you can't really appreciate unless you know the story in the Hobbit.

I really think that it reffers to the End of the World, but in the most unconditional human nature ever. I mean, sacrificing your life for your brothers and your people is another level of a man's life destination and purpose. Also, it talks about the Apocalypse in some way, as well as the arrival of our Lord (which its time is coming really soon)...Be prepared for what your eyes may witness and for the change of your soul. This is what this song tries to tell us about. Also, my ex boyfriend used this for ringtone and i wish i had asked him about his pov on these lyrics. I'd like to see if he is on the same page as i am, because this is how awakeness for a better world starts...By our unity.

“I see fire” words of kwame nkrumah to Africans to unite. Nkrumah sees The west as fire that’s ready to destroy and take over things that aren’t theirs.
-
It represents that when end times come he will not stand and run from the fire he will stand with his brothers and face the end.
-
I think the song is about when Jesus comes back for his 2nd returning in the song it says " oh, shall my people fall then surely ill do the same confirmed in mountain hills We got too close to the flame calling out father oh, hold fast and we will." in the bible it says every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord forever. I think this is talking about the End times cause the world will be destroyed by fire.

I See Fire means that every mistakes that we did, will also lead to the other person.
Just like what Thorin's grandfather did to all riches that he exploit from the Misty Mountain, which caused Smaug came and destroy the villages around, and took over the Misty Mountain. And of course, lots of people lost their lives because of one tiny mistake. -
I thought it was about deforestation :L
-
It talks about the experience experience he dwarves of the misty mountains have had dealing with smaug, losing there home and being homeless.Durins sons could mean Thorin,Fili and Kilo or in general the dwarves.
-
I see fire refers to dragon Smaug who has taken the middle Earth. At the homeland Laketown men & dwarves are the people. Keep watch over Durins souls refers to Thror and his nephews Kili and Fili. All 3 are the heirs of the throne. Dwarves and Durins sons are willing to risk their lives to fight against the flames of Dragon Smaug. If the people fell than they will as well.
