Ed Sheeran: Happier Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Happier Lyrics
I saw you in another's arms
Only a month we've been apart
You look happier
Saw you walk inside a bar
He said something to make you laugh
I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours
Yeah, you look...

#1 top rated interpretation:This really is a heart wrenching song. I heard this on the radio and got hooked.
It's about a guy who is still in love with his ex. We notice in the song he hurt her in the relationship when he says nobody hurt you like i do. She has moved on with another guy ed sees them at a bar and she seems happy. Happier then when ed was with her. (Nothing more breaks your heart then seeing somone you still have feelings for have feelings for somone else) he makes a statement in the end i will wait for you. Ed kind of hopes one day she will break up with her new lover so he can be back with her, even though ed says I promise I will not take it personal, he certainly does take it personal. At the end of the day all he can really do is nurse a empty bottle and drink his feelings away. His friends tell him one day he will feel (happier) to. -

#2 top rated interpretation:"you look happier, you do. My friends told me one day, I'd feel it to."
The lyrics says it all.
How the song lyrics hits us hard. It hurts knowing that there are a lot of cases of that kind of love story. It was tragic. Though, it was meant to happen and all we need is to accept it.
'happier' is about a guy/girl who loved THAT someone so much that as he/she breaks, he/she watched how her/his love one be happy WITH SOMEONE ELSE. There's nothing painful more than that. But all that you can do is to accept it and just be happy for it. Because one day you'll move on and you'd be happy just the way she/he is now. -

#3 top rated interpretation:This song refers to a guy that still has feelings for his former girlfriend but has to go through pain as he watches her move on with someone else. His friends have attempted to lighten him up by saying he’ll get over it. He acts alright but inside he’s broken and guilty and wants nothing more than to love his girl openly and for her to love him back. He’s mentioned that if her new relationship backfires, he’ll be there for her if no one else. Some people move on and some go on loving. Even if it’s packed with guilt.
-
the theme for the song is when you have a sort of first relationship or second relationship and you’re young and that relationship ends, you’re so bitter about it and so angry.
-
This song is about ed Sheeran seeing his ex that he still has feelings for with another guy at a bar. Ed drinks his feelings out. So this song is actually bout loving your ex while they are in-love with someone else.
-
Its about a love that hurt them both .she was his perfect ,she made him love till it hurt.they would of been together through anything the good and the bad ,but he didnt treat her right and she realised she needed to switch off from him all though it was hurting her as much as as if hed died .this song is about realising youll never find this love again .

The message of this song is how its feels to lose someone you love.
-
This song describes how you feel when you lose someone and the person seems to have found the right person after you. Though Ed said he would not take it personal in the song, nothing hurts more than finding that the person you thought was perfect for you and you were perfect for has found someone “more perfect” than you. True, he hurt her a lot during their relationship but he loved her, he loved her so much she was his perfect. To him she was the only person who would accept him even when he made mistakes. He might not have know that all the small mistakes he made were killing her bit by bit. Now that everything is over he realizes that she was his happy ending but it is too late as she has found her own happy ending. Moving on hurts so much and he secretly hopes she’ll realize the new one isn’t the one for her and she’ll accept Ed once again cause he’ll still be waiting.
-
I think the song is mean to be about the heart ache of losing someone . The boy hurt his girlfriend , maybe by cheating or saying something he shouldn’t have. She broke up with him . He’s now realizing how much he messed up now that he sees her with another guy . Because it’s a rebound , he’s saying that he’ll wait until this sort of “break” period is over .
-
So This Song literally means that he once hurt Her feelings but Now that he's seeing her moving on after their Breakup He finds That he still loves her and regrets hurting her Feelings , he still wants her to come back but if She's Happy with the other guy then It's okay And He will someday Move On with that But if she's Not happy he'll wait for her To come back. This Breaks my heart and i feel physically hurt.I saw the music Video which didn't Really made any sense I'm told dumb to understand the Official music video but I understood the lyrics ,

This song is a message to one girl from one boy who still loves her even though she’s with someone else. The boy will wait until it is his time to be together with her again.

He finally found the person that he loves and even though he hurt her he will wait for her no matter how long it takes and even though she looks happier with her new boyfriend he will always be there for her and will drop everything to be there for her
-
Ed and his girlfriend broke up. The girl rebounded since it's only a month since they broke up. He sees them at a bar and see's how much 'happier' she looks and his heart still belongs to her. He's miserable without her and wants her so utterly bad. And he'll even wait for her.
-
It's like he's trying to say he still needs you and wants you even though he hurt you. He knows he hurt you but he just can't move on.
-
he and his girlfriend broke up and now she's with someone else, and she looks happier than she did when she was with him. and although they're going their separate ways, he can't help but still want her and wait around for her
