    Instead of going out to see the world, he enjoys the little time he has with his girlfriend by sitting with her on the sofa and enjoy each others presence.

    he has precious times with his girlfriend on the sofa and he has the best time with her there just watching tv and even though they could go out to other countries he would have a better time just sitting on the sofa relaxing

    I think Sofa is about a couple who just got together last night ('And we’re still so high' implies that they're still happy from a recent experience). And Ed loves the girl so much, and he'd do everything in the world for her, literally. But he's perfectly content just existing next to her, making her tea, cuddling, watching TV. If she wants to 'fly to Berlin, Tokyo, or Jamaica', he'll go immediately. But he just wants to love her.

    It's about a sofa and all the things Ed does on it with his girlfriend. And how even when they could go anywhere in the world he would rather be on the sofa with her.
