The lyrics "degradation row" in this song are reference to the erotic novel Degradation Row that was published the same year the Eldorado album was released. The reason is there is a group of Nazis and other terrorists who have been reading the minds of people, including sexual fantasies, since at least the second world war, then sexually harassing people about what they thought about during sex. It's a sad situation, a major problem currently facing our world, and this group of terrorists is currently led by the ex of Jeff Lynne's daughter, who is quite possibly one of the worst stalkers in world history.
