Don't Stop Lyrics
If it takes just a little while,
Open your eyes and look at the day,
You’ll see things in a different way.
Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than...

My daughter was taken from me. I was Devastated. Destroyed. In Deep Depression. I saw Fleetwood Mac on PBS. Rihanna described her perfectly: She was "Taken by the Sky!" "Wouldn't you love to love her?" Every second that passed was one more second that I was away from her. Then the band played "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, Don't stop, it will soon be here. It will be here better than before. Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone." When I heard that for the first time, I thought, no way, that's impossible! As time has passed I've come to realize, I will never "move on," as so many people say. The song does not say that. I am a different person, I will never be the same person I was, but I can't be stuck in the past. I can't stop thinking about tomorrow because it will soon be here for me. It has been and it will be and I will deal with it and move forward and find new joy! Those two songs saved me.

Open your eyes and see the world before you and your possibilities

To me it's about while yesterday may be a very bad day maybe your were fired lost a close family member, your pet, or you had a heart attack, tomorrow is a new dat. Try to forget about yesterday and try and move on to more great things. Forget about your sorrows and things will get better because it's a new day.

I found this song encouraging when I was in Air Force basic training in 1977. My life was at a low point when I joined, so for me it was that present time, not the past, that was dragging me down.
-
It's about not dragging yourself down and stop dwelling about yesterday. I have a whole Fleetwood Mac original un-skipping record at home, and I listen to it everyday with my headphones on the bus. It just makes me feel awesome! :D <3

A very inspiring song about looking forward, and not letting the past drag us down,

Don’t Stop was written by Christine for John McVie. At the time Christine and John had broken up and it is said that the song may have been written to try to comfort him. John at the time had a lot of drinking problems and he also had troubles in the studio. It was said that he got “blocked”. This song may have been also for the rest of the group for they were having troubles also. This included Lindsey and Stevie breaking up and the group not selling many albums.
Bill Clinton had used this song while campaigning to become the President of the United States. Former President Clinton had used this song in his television ads and along with everything else he did.
