I'll Stick Around Lyrics

I thought I knew

All it took to bother you

Every word I said was true

and that you'll see

How could it be

I'm the only one who sees

Your rehearsed insanity, yeah

I still refused

All the methods you abused

It's...

it is about after the death of Kurt Cobain how greedy Courtney love became and this is saying that dave will stick around

okay so I actually read the dave grohl biography, this is a call, and he himself said the song was about courtney love. All the methods you abused- saying how she was taking control over kurt and the band.
Your rehearsed insanity- saying how she acts crazy and does all this dramatic stuff for attention
all the pawns you gagged and bound- saying how she has used so many people (perhaps kurt) to get rich and "powerful"
the references are pretty straightforward, just read the lyrics and let the power of suggestion do the rest.

This song is not just about Kurt Cobain, it saying how messed up Kurt was. "all the methods you abused" probably refers to drugs,"I had no hand In your ever desperate plan" just shows Dave was not apart of it. FYI Kurt was messed up and killed himself young.
