Wind Up Lyrics
Each time I hear about the hand you've been dealt
Spare me confession it's confession you sell
Maybe I'll fall behind but I don't mind because I'll catch up
I want a song that's indelible

In an interview from 1997, Dave stated that this song was about the press. He said the song was for two sides; the prying press that relies on the rockstar and the reluctant rockstar that always complains about how bad it is. He said he's sick of seeing how much rockstars complain or say they hate it when someone says they like the band. Dave wanted to say he enjoys what he's doing. This is also about anger, as saying he hopes no one ever sees him wind up (sees him explode and let it all out.)
