Come to Me Lyrics

#1 top rated interpretation:The song is basically telling the story of how two people with pasts have found each other. The singer, 'guy perspective' starts by saying this is how we found each other. The last verse is singing about their wedding day. He's telling her it's okay for us to start our lives over with each other, grow old and be with other for the rest of our lives. The middle verse speaks to their pasts and 'baggage'. But, this is addressed with an 'it is what it is' line. I would imagine if I guy was getting married for the second time and found the right woman, he could sing this song, play it on the guitar, and it would really capture the moment, relationship and the day.

#2 top rated interpretation:I think it is about a man singing to a woman who was his childhood sweetheart. They had both went their separate ways, and reunited later in is life. She may be sad or changed in how life has treated her. He is telling her that he will take her back to where she belongs....with him. And he too feels free now that they are reunited, and wants to marry for life, and after life.

About two people who have been married for many years and have decided to renew their vows later in life.
they understanding through the years they may have hurt one another but are willing to put that behind them and start anew. -
Two people older in life who happened to find each other and fall in love. Both had long marriages that didn’t last, due to many past disappointments, unmet expectations and heart break. They realize they deserve the happiness they never truly felt and finally have an opportunity to be with the Love of their lives......to be able to give themselves permission to move forward and live the life they always dreamed about.

Its about a man who loves a girl with all of his heart and she isn't sure of her feelings and he is trying to tell her that she means everything to him and that he will love her until the end of time and then continue to love her until then. Because that is how it should be. A guy falls in love with someone and will love them no matter what. No matter what.
-
He waited and waited forever to find her. Then one day she came along. That was the day he was free, better than he imagined. He knew it was real he had visions of them together forever so he married her.
-
I think here he's singing about his friend who he seems to care deeply for. He doesn't care about her past or any other thing that may try to stop them. He wants to spend his life with her grow old with her. I can't tell if she knows it sort of seems like he's singing in a wishful way. That they haven't had a relationship yet.
-
Two people who have pasts, one of them more ashamed and trying to hide theirs, fall in love. While she is trying to bury hers he is explaining that we are who we are and can't change that and both should be willing to move forward as the people they are.
