The music video suggests that this is a Romeo and Juliet situation. However, it's genderbent with the boy taking on the white, pure, role of Juliet. Halsey takes on the role of Romeo. The blue hair, tatoos and violent surroundings reflect that of Romeo. The chorus "I just want you to love me now or never" is talking about how she just wants to live in the moment. She dosn't want to think about their future or how their families could split them up.
