Sunflower, Vol. 6 Lyrics

Sunflower
Sunflower
My eyes
Want you more than a melody
Let me inside
Wish I could get to know you
Sunflowers
Sometimes
Keep it sweet in your memory
I was just tongue-tied
And I don't wanna make you feel bad
But I've been trying hard...

I feel like sunflower is all about the negative and positive memories of a failed relationship, and how Harry is looking back on these memories after a break-up. "Your flowers just died
Plant new seeds in the melody", implies that the negative memories have now gone away as he has put a positive spin on them, and is trying to "plant new seeds" by turning his pain into something positive. When sunflowers die, you use the seeds from the dead sunflowers to plant new ones, which connects to how he's trying to put a positive outlook on their breakup.

This was not my initial idea, but I saw somebody on twitter explain it. So basically they said that apparently Harry once said he liked to brush his teeth before he performed. They said that maybe that was what he was doing in the bathroom while he was on XFactor and met Louis. In the song it says
    "Mouthful of toothpaste
Before I got to know you"
They also explained how Louis has called Harry things like "Sun" and "Sunshine".
If this were about Louis, they also said that the line "Kiss in the kitchen like it's a dance floor" could be referring to the night where Louis made Harry the infamous parma ham dish.
Could this song be about Louis?

So I don't know much about this song but I just want to point out something I saw online. I don't know any backstory so please just listen: the number 28 is a very important number to Larry Stylinson, and I saw someone who said that Harry put exactly 28 "boops" at the end of Sunflower Vol. 6. Soooo do with that what you will :)
