   This song is about a guy who sees his beautiful ex-gf and she's with someone else. He realizes he can't live without her and kills himself. It's in the video. He does kill himself he just doesn't know what to do with himself though.

   Maybe not so much suicide...but just cleansing...water represents purity and cleansing and rebirth according to archetypes. Maybe he's just using the whole song to explain her then at the end he jumps into the water to be reborn....haha that's my thoughts anyway

   I kind of figured that the music was about a break up, but I was wondering why the music video was so weird. Why does he look like he's commiting suicide at the end? Why does he take off his shoes and such? Help a confused soul see the meaning. Please!

   I saw him on Oprah and he explained that the song was written about his ex-girlfriend. He saw her in the London subway after they broke up and she was seeing someone else.
