James Blunt: If Time is All I Have Meaning
Song Released: 2011
If Time is All I Have Lyrics
Turn the radio on
And you'll hear this simple song
That I made up
That I made up for you
When you're driving
Turn the radio up
Cause I can't sing loud enough
Hard these days
To get my message through
If time is all I have
I'll...

James Blunt just puts so much passion and emotion in his songs that it sounds like he's breaking down but it's his way of getting the feeling in the lyrics.

oh my god guys. he is obviously talking about how all he has is time when he was in the war at kosovo. all his family was over there and he was losing himself day by day. none of james blunts songs are lovesongs. none. they are all experiences. think about it. his song 1973? not a love song. it has to have a deepre meaning too. he was still a baby at that time. it can't really be about a girl named simona he loved in 1973. this one is about him having nothing left but time when time is really the thing he wants least.

The woman do not pass away in the video. She vanishes at the side of James and touches the arm of the firemen.
James died in the car accident and realizes in his last moments how valuable time is (refer to "If time is all i have"), especially with a beloved person. If he had the chance he would "waste all the time" on her. -
That James has died in the car crash shown in the video, but will still love the girl... Even as a ghost as she gets married and grows old.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I think the song could be expressing about a previous relationship that James Blunt himself might have had that ended, he might have really loved this woman, taken in her every need and respected her with everything he could offer as best as he can.
If you watch a video of James Blunt performing the song live you'll notice that he gets very emotional, expressing sadness and anger - Like quite alot.. just really passionate about the song and the meaning it has. He almost sounds as if he is going to break down and burst into tears at some points too. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riz4AA35hD4&NR=1)
