Kelly Clarkson: Beautiful Disaster Meaning
Beautiful Disaster Lyrics
An exquisite extreme I know
He's as damned as he seems
More Heaven than a heart could hold
And if I tried to save him
My whole world could cave in
Just ain't right
Just ain't right
Oh and I don't know
I don't...

To me, the person is a drug addict. A beautiful person with a horrible disease that he just can't let go of. His emotions are all over the place, like with any addict. He doesn't know how to stop, and he doesn't know what he is looking for. Anyone who tries to help him just gets brought down with him...and the pain is terrible. But he's beautiful....like my nephew.
And I NEVER can sit through this song without crying. -
I swear I lived this song in my 20 year marriage. My late husband had a genius IQ but with genius comes madness. Nothing was ever enough and he always had to create drama. But the good times were so amazing. I definitely see this song as a woman in love with a man who has some serious psychological problems but he is also a loving person so she tolerates his madness.

I think the song is about a girl being in a relationship with a guy who clearly doesn't make the right decisions. But for some reason she is still in love with him. He is a mess but she feels he is so flawless that he is just beautiful. She wants to help him with the problems he has. She knows he is bad news, but she is still in love with him because he is perfect to her. When you're in love, you become blind to a lot of things, and I think that is also what she is trying to explain.

I think the song is not about a couple in a relationship but a girl who is obviously strangely attracted to a boy who seems to be totally different from her. He seems to be out of touch with reality and self-destructive. His flaws still look beautiful to her and she can't help it. She's in love with him but is afraid to give it a try because it could completely destroy her. I do not think it's a beautiful disaster but a thing of beauty. Beautiful lyrics.

This song is obviously about a bad relationship. While she loves him, he has so many problems. She wants to help him, but whenever she tries she loses herself. She either must put herself completely into the relationship, or not at all. In my opinion, it's about an abusive relationship. She has fallen in love with all of his good traits, yet, she still sees the bad. She knows she shouldn't be with him but she is so in love with him she can't leave. She realizes he is abusive, (a disaster), but she can't get over how beautiful he is or could be if he weren't abusive.
-
She's in love with an alcoholic.
-
She's in love with a guy, but he's not a Christian so she can't be with him because she knows the relationship won't be able to last.
