Since U Been Gone Lyrics
It was cool but it was all pretend

Since U Been Gone
You dedicated you took the time
Wasn't long till I called you mine
Yeah Yeah

#1 top rated interpretation:At first listen you probably think this song means that she has lost a friend or boyfriend, and she wants him/her back. But when you pay more attention to the lyrics you can tell that she has ended the relationship and is relieved("since you been gone, I can breathe for the first time, I'm so movin' on... yeah, yeah"). She obviously didn't want to admit she wanted to move on earlier but finally couldn't stand it anymore so ended the relationship. I am SO tired of songs that send the message,"ahh... I'm so dedicated to you... come back! I mean even though you treated me like crap". Which is why I like this song, because it shows that you should end a relationship you don't like, and you won't regret.

She's coming out of a relationship and finally feels like she can breath. Just be herself for the first time. she's happy a weight has been lifted. She's not sad or bitter though but happy to have been through the experience it has made her stronger.

Relieved over a past relationship that has ended which she gained nothing from

I remember when i was a kid that this was my favorite song (even if i didn't know what it meant). Anyway i think this song is about how a person is so relieved that their relationship is over.

Since you've been gone is simply about two people breaking up. The singer (narrator) feels like she fell for them to quickly and is glad that they broke up. She realises that he fell in love quickly and didnt really know who they were inside. They have now broken up and she is glad "i can breath for the first time, im so moving on". Basicly stating that he was a bad boyfriend and is nothing to her now.

Okay dokay, so she is saying the when they first met, she fell for him quickly. She even fell for that stupid love song but that didnt last long. Soon she realized that she wasnt actually happy with him and that she never heard him say how he wanted to be with her. She was the one always saying how she pictured them together. And obviously no one likes one-way relationships. So she ditched him and now she can breath again and is a LOT happier. Although she THOUGHT she was sad about the breakup. Shes not in the end and is much happier once realizing that.
