Korn: Are You Ready to Live? Meaning
Are You Ready to Live? Lyrics
-
Ready to live is a song dedicated to his wife deven, who has passed of 2019. The song was john saying how he wants his wife to stop taking pills so much. A fact is when he told ross Robinson about the song he called john's wife and forced him to sing the song to her.

I'm not sure what he was feeling but I know my heart broke with his. I have seen Morn love several times, I'm from Hutchinson Kansas, and every show it amazes me how much emotion they pour out into the crowd. I feel like that song suggest he lives to much for other people and not enough for himself. Its depleting his self worth, life and death parallel each other, and we can walk though life never living, and find that death brings about peace. Its a strange contradiction, life and death. I know JD is and always will be so empowering, because his music is from the heart.

Not sure what it means and I'll probably never know for sure, but I know there's something about it that deeply affects John: if you watched the Krop circle performance you'd have seen him throw the mic to the ground and say "[I] fuckin' hate that song!" after crying through the last thirty seconds of the song.
