This song is about some guy who took a swing at john on stage and told him to go back to Bakersfield
"Hit me clown because I'm not from your town"

Its about jon almost getting hit on stage by a guy in the crowd who looked like a clown because he was all tatted up, the guy was yelling at jon & he bent over to hear him ( cause he couldn't) and the guy took a swing & missed him

I assumed it might've been about (say in school) what might've been called the 'class clown', that might've been acting as a bully.
Evidently I was wrong, but still :)

Clown is about all the bastards who treat people like shit just because they don't try to fit in. It's about getting made fun of and teased in school. Another song that made me face all those motherfuckers every day,
    thank you Jonathan.

I agree with the other guy about all that stuff, but it also has somewhat of a dual meaning. When Jonathan Davis was in school he would get picked on and bullied, and the song talks about how people would do anything to fit in instead of like it says in the song "be yourself, a cowardly man." So the song pretty much talks about bullies in general, whether it be the guy at the concert who took a swing at jon or the high school bullies that tormented him.

ok if you really like korn I'm assuming you have who then now (dvd) or deuce (dvd featuring who then now) but if you don't the song clown is about how when korn were up and coming and some dickhead came up to jon and punched him in the mouth and said korn sucks go back to bakersfield. (then of course korns manager came and knocked the guy out) anyway this song is about the guy who did this. listen to the lyrics and it will make sence.

    THIS is Ed Noble-_-_-KORN!!!!!!!!!!
