#1 top rated interpretation:Her song is ACTUALLY about the music industry. How she wants to have a relationship and be in love with the music industry but its a terrible discriminating industry that will most likely cause pain a won't accept her.
"lovers revenge..." Other musicians who are in the music video that will want revenge on her when she beats them to the top.
"I want your drama, I want your disease..." She wants the fighting an drama inside the music industry. She craves being famous, hence why she calls herself the Fame Monster.
"I want your psycho, your vertical stick....want you in my rear window..." References to Alfred Hitchcock's horror movies. The point of a horror movie is to change the way you view something or go about your life. The music industry changes its people that are apart of it, and the people who are listening to it.
As someone else said earlier on this feed, Gaga would not make a song so typical as to a boy and a girl who want to be in love. All of her songs have deep meanings and symbols. Notice how she covers her eye in almost every music video/appearance? Such as representing the illuminati? ELITE SOCIETY just like the music industry? And Ra is the name for the "All seeing sun God"

#2 top rated interpretation:In essence, the song is about a one-sided love affair between GaGa and a best friend of hers. The problem is she wants all of him- the good, the bad, the pleasant, and the nasty, and all the time. He wants some of her, sometimes.
It sort of takes away the romanticism of the "best friends" label. She wants the relationship to propel to new heights but her emotions are bound because she's "just a friend." She parallels the mental torture of her sealed love with physical torture in her video- she's a sex slave. She offers herself to the mobboss's whim just as she offers her emotional self to her best friend. The issue in GaGa's life, however, was that she was not having these feelings reciprocated as referenced in her lyrics:

In the video, the issue was that she been stripped of her sense of autonomy. By the end, however, she kills the mobboss (ignites him with her sex) and becomes headbitch mobqueen. -

Lady Gaga or a person who she knows craves the attention and love from another person, but that person constantly rejects and neglects her craving, even knowing that Lady gaga or her friend (or the person she literally got this experience from) is head over heels with them. This 'crush' is always friendzoning lady gaga or her friend whomever even though it's clear that this person is infatuated (seemingly possessiveness and having the evident lust) with this crush. This crush seems to despise the idea of being in a romantic relationship the before mentioned person and clearly takes revenge on her. This is why it is called as a "bad romance".

First and foremost, can any of you mofos spell at all??? I think a lot of artists want you to interpret in your own way. You can see from the answers here that we all have a different view initially. If GaGa wants to provide meaning any further I am sure she will.

I think that she wants a guy so bad, and she wants his good side and also the bad in him! It’s truly a unique and different song but one of my favourites of all time. She wants to have sex, and fight as well! It’s a bit dirty but more if you figure out the meaning, not in the lyrics! So yeah, she wants the angel and the devil in him!

I think it's about the relationship between Italy and France.Notice the word "Roma",and why she speaks French.The French learn a lot from Italians,and dim Italian' light, and the French become the king of fashion by a bitchy way.Gaga treat this bitch by a bitchy way,she wants their"design",like a vampire suck their energy,and finally replace the French,becoming the queen of fashion.

For me it's about that she wants somebody so much and she is able to do everything for him/her.She's probably obsessed with him and she needs him.I don't think that they are friends,it could be about stranger.

The whole reason that I even looked up the interpretation for the lyrics to this song was because my husbands satanic ex wife basically dedicated this song to me and that was really bizarre. I wasn't sure exactly which context she was directing this song to me/him and I? Her as well. What was she trying to say to me through the lyrics of this song? As unbelievable as it may seem we found out that she has been spying on us for quite some time, a sort of surveylance on our house. By bugging our place or whatever and I had kind of gotte that feeling from her for a while before she totally made it known that she was flat out just whacked the fuck out. ANyway, when she told me that she wanted me to record this for her she did it in a very sinister way that only her and I would "get" and I did of course. I am sure that she was just being snide/snarky, so that I would know what she thought of our relationship. But at the same time I think she wanted me to feel as though she was after him in some sick way?? She was basically saying, "I want your unhappy relationship that I am the cause of. In other words I am keeping you both in hell because of your romance that I am after. She has sabotaged our relationship for a really long time now and we just found out exactly how much she has been doing this. She is a really evil crafty bitch and she knew exactly how to make us miserable. Way to much to go into but she shot that in my direction and used it in a whole other interpretation. She used the part "I don't wanna be friends" to let me know that she had no desire to stay friendly is she wasn't able to break us up. My friendship with her was a means to an end. It is too long of a story to explain why were friends to begin with. Mainly because of the kids but anyhow, she creeped me the helllllll out when she did that. She is makes my skin crawl, I am really grossed out by her at this point. She has been doing some really creepy shit that we had no idea was even her all this ti!!!!
